Popular News Series – Germany Beats England Badly

However, fans did not have much hope from the latter team since David Beckham is not playing this time. However, England has Wayne Rooney on their side. However, since Germany showed an excellent performance in the match against Australia on Saturday by beating it by 4-0, everybody had pinned its high hopes on it. Therefore, apparently, Germany showed an excellent performance in this match in Bloemfontein beating England by 4-1. It was expected because England has performed poorly in the last world cup matches also. The German players to make goals were Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, and Thomas Muller, who scored 2 goals with the latter coming with one goal each.
Germany has become a strong team in the past few years. The win in this match has produced a permanent win for this country in the last eight teams of this tournament. Germany will now face Argentina in the quarterfinals.German striker Miroslav Klose even commented that England failed to play as a team. He is all praises for Argentinan coach Diego Maradona as he thinks that he is a fantastic coach. Matthew Upson tried to do some damage to the Germans by scoring a goal for England, but Thomas Millers amazing goals in the second half, ruined the possibilities of England winning this match.
Germany definitely won because the English side showed a lack of focus in the match. Miroslav Klose scored the first goal of the match in the 20th minute. England failed to score any goal until this time even though it had the ball for a long time. Klose easily got the ball into the goal because of the weak defense put by England's defenders Upson and John terry.
